Where are you based?

Our studio is in Bunbury, the gateway to WA's beautiful southwest. We shoot weddings throughout southwest WA and sometimes even further afield and are happy to travel when we can!

 

How do I know if you are the right photographer for me?

We recommend having a good look at our website image galleries and blogs, which showcase our style. If you love the images you see there, you are guaranteed to love what we create for you too! If you like our images but you want a different "look" for your Big Day, it is probably better to find a photographer who showcases what you are looking for in their portfolio, rather than asking us to change our style for you. We believe that choosing the right photographer is not just about the images, you need to like us too, so we like to meet you before you book so that you can feel confident you will be relaxed and have fun with us on your Big Day. Following us on Facebook and signing up to our newsletter are also great ways to get to know us better.

 

Can we meet you before we book?

Definitely! We think it's very important to meet because personality plays a big part in choosing the right photographer for you. If you are based in the south west you can book an appointment to see us at our Bunbury studio. If you are from further afield we will set up a Skype chat (isn't technology great! ;-)). Just let us know what you need and we will make it happen!

 

Will we meet our photographer before our wedding day?

Absolutely! Even though we have a team of talent available, we believe it is very important that you know your photographer so that you can feel relaxed and enjoy your Big Day knowing your images are taken care of. If you have a preference you can request a specific photographer when you book, otherwise we will allocate one to you who we feel is best suited to capture your wedding. Once you have booked, your photographer will be the one to meet with you, photograph your engagement session, do all the planning with you and be there on your Big Day.

 

How far ahead do we need to book?

To avoid disappointment it is best to book early. We often book weddings up to two years in advance, and sometimes earlier! November and March are the busiest wedding months of the year in Perth and the south west, so if you're planning a wedding for this time of year we'd suggest getting in touch as soon as your date and venue are booked. 

 

What packages do you have?

Our wedding coverage starts from $2000 and are Collections are flexible to suit the individuality of your special day. Please just get in touch and tell us a little about your plans, and we will put together the perfect package just for you.

 

Can we book you if we're not sure what package we want?

Yes! We understand that you want to book your photographer early but you may not have decided on all the details of your day just yet, so we keep things as flexible as we can for you. To book you simply need to sign our booking contract and pay a non refundable $1000 booking fee (which will be put towards your chosen package). That locks in your date, and the rest you can decide at your wedding planning session around three months before your wedding.. 

 

Can you help us plan our Day?

Yes! We have been photographing weddings for many years whereas this is your first time! When you book us you have a wealth of knowledge and experience at your fingertips, and we are happy to recommend great suppliers to you for the other parts of your day, and share our expertise and knowledge to help you plan the perfect locations and timings for your wedding photography. 

 

Do you travel for weddings?

Yes! We photograph weddings throughout south west WA with no travel fees. Fees for weddings further away depend on how far we need to go and are only charged to cover our costs. Although we like where we live and spend most of our time here, we are available for weddings anywhere in the world so if you are getting married in some far flung destination, just contact us to tell us your plans and we will tailor a package just for you!

 

What gear do you use?

We know how much everyone likes to talk gear, but we don't like to get into the technical details too much. We use top of the range Canon pro equipment, so you can rest assured your images will be of the very best quality. We also have back up equipment so that if anything  unforeseen happens to a camera or lens your images won't be affected. Not to mention years of experience and bags of talent so that if we really had to we could still take some great photos with your iPhone! ;-)

 

How many images do we get?

The number of images you get varies with every wedding and depends greatly on how long we are there for and how the day goes. We keep clicking all day and literally take thousands of photos at every wedding. After your wedding we come back to the studio and spend hours in front of the computer taking out all the "whoops I blinked" images and pulling together the story of your day. We guarantee a minimum number of images in each of our coverage options but like to leave you with more so that you can decide on your favourites, rather than us doing that for you. 

 

Do you edit all the photos?

All the images you receive on your USB will have been edited to optimize colours, exposure and all the basics. Images you order for albums and wall art receive an extra level of editing and are all individually retouched to make them print perfect. 

 

Can we have the RAW files?

With photography what we capture in-camera is only one step in the creative process. Digital editing is the new dark room, and the decisions we make in editing our images are integral to creating our style and achieving our artistic vision. Handing over the RAW files would be like a professional chef giving you raw ingredients - you may have everything you need but you're not likely to create an award winning meal. We have spent many years perfecting our art and our clients book us for our style, and our editing is a big part of that, so we do not hand over our RAW files. 

 

When do we get our photos?

We want to make sure that your images are all looking great and ready for printing for you, and as we deliver hundreds of images on your USB this process takes a little time. We know you will be excited to see your wedding images, so we post sneak peeks on facebook in the days following your Big Day and upload an online gallery for you, your friends and family to view within the first few weeks. We try to get your final USB to you as quickly as possible, and during the quieter months this is generally within 4 weeks, and in peak season can be up to 6-8 weeks.  

 

Do you photograph anything other than weddings?

Yes. We have a team of amazing photographers who specialise in different areas of photography, from weddings to newborn, family and pet portraits. We believe that great relationships create great photography, and having spent time getting to know us for your wedding you can come back to us for all your future milestones knowing you can have fun while we create beautiful images that reflect who you are, just like on your Big Day.
